Hello,
I have to deploy Office 2013 to our French users, Englishusers and Italian users through SCCM 2012; they should have Office 2013 installed with same OS language.
I already know how to do it on SCCM 2012, but I'd like to ask for your opinion.
Solution 1
I could have one folder for each Office 2013 language/platform:
- Office2013-FR-x86
- Office2013-FR-x64
- Office2013-EN-x86
- Office2013-EN-x64
- Office2013-IT-x86
- Office2013-IT-x64
On SCCM 2012 I should create 6 Application Deployments.
Having six folders and six Applications will increase management, but client will download needed content only (used language).
Solution 2
I could have one folder for each Office 2013 platform:
- Office2013-x86 - Contains x86 version of Office 2013 in French, English, Italian (Multilanguage)
- Office2013-x64 - Contains x64 version of Office 2013 in French, English, Italian (Multilanguage)
On SCCM 2012 I should create 2 Application Deployments.
Having two folders and two Applications only will be helpful for management, but client will download unneeded content for installation (unused languages).
I hope to be clear.
So, what is your opinion ?
Thank you,
Luca
