WMI (Repository\Objects.Data) > 1 gig

Hello,

It appears SCCM is causing WMI on a handful of systems to bloat to greater than 1 gig, some are over 4 gigs. These systems spend a long time stuck on "Please Wait" during boot-up. If I am understanding what I am reading the WMI shouldn't ever get that large and have applied hotfixes to the image so going forward this is hopefully handled. Problem is the systems that do not have the patches installed, or installed after the fact. Doesn't seem like they are retro-active. I have verified SCCM is the cause based on the enteries in the WMI and a very large part of the top 20 are all SCCM related at 60,000-70,000, unless I am reading the data wrong. Comparing a large WMI to one that is working properly clearly shows the difference.

To get more to my point, is the only way to fix WMI now to /resetrepository and re-register .mof and .dll? I know there is stopping services in between too. Will this also allow the agent to continue working normally afterwards, or would I need to reinstall?

Thanks
