Hi,
I've configured an SCCM environment which consists of multiple distribution points, so that there is a level of higher availability should one become unavailable.
As it stands, if software is deployed as per required or if it is selected to be installed if it is available, then the content is downloaded from an available distribution point. If one is down - it moves to the next; all this is as you would expect.
The problem I have lies when it comes to streaming App-V applications after they have been deployed to the machine. I notice that once deployed their registry entries point at a specific DP and therefore if this DP is offline, the application fails. I would have expected/liked for streaming to commence from the available DP in this scenario.
This cant be by design, can it? I need to add a level of high availability into these streamed applications as any downtime would affect many people.
Can someone please tell me if this is expected behaviour and is there anything i can do to achieve what i want, and what i though this set-up would do?
Thanks in advance
Stefan
