We have a VDI(virtual desktop) environment. Each session a user gets, is a non-persistent session. So every time a user logs in, he will get a clean desktop, a new Windows 7 session.
Appv packages are streamed from the Appv 4.6 Full Infrastructure solution from Microsoft. If we could do this from SCCM2012, we would have 1 tool to manage FAT clients and stream to VDI client.
I know SCCM can do this in theory but how well does it work in "real life"? What are the advantages and disadventages if we move from Appv Full Infrastructure to SCCM2012?
How quickly after logging on to a VDI session, does a user get his shortcuts in the Start Menu of the streaming applications groups he belongs to? Immediately, after 1 minute, after 10 minutes?
Anybody with experience in this situation?
