Hello, I have a question about application supersedence in SCCM 2012 R2.
I have an application that has already been deployed in my environment.
It's an upgrade, but does not uninstall the previous version first - resulting in 2 versions of the same application on the
desktop.
What I want to do is:
- stop the existing application deployment( it's pretty much reached everyone now)
- mod the application and create a supersedence to uninstall the previous version application
- redeploy that same application with the new supersedence rule
Would SCCM re-evaluate all the clients and run the uninstaller, even if they already have the new version installed?
Hopefully i'm making sense here... I want to go back to each computer in the deployment and supercede the previous version of the application, even if the newer version was installed. is that possible, or will SCCM just skip it since the newer version is already installed?
Thanks for any help on this
David
