Recently we come across one very weird situation, which still going on, Not sure if i am getting answer here or not?
We are trying to deploy application called CISCO IP Communicator using SCCM2012 R2, in such a way that app popups message once it is available on machine.
If we click OK installation Proceeds else Abort. After Clicking 'OK'... some time later there is another Popup message appears, as shown below.
Now If we Click 'Yes' Machine re-starts software installed successfully, "Software Center" shows status as "Installed" if you click NO software still shown as installed on Add and Remove Program Entry and here "Software Center" for some machine shows "RestartRequire" (Which is Good as after restart message "RestartRequire" converts into "Installed") but for some machines it shows "Past due - will be retried"
For machines having status "Past due - will be retried" , when we made Installation Retry from Software Center a message appear at system Tray that says "Installation Failed" :-( Though app already got installed on Machine.
Now Question is:
Why Software Center shows this contradiction for some machines ?
And If installation successful then why after clicking Installation Retry we're getting error message ?
Upon checking the error detail at software center it says – “The software change returned error code 0x87D00324(-2016410844)”, which usually comes when there is mismatch in Application Detection code (which we specifies at Deployment Type during app creation). I’ve checked and confirmed also from Notepad available at package share and there is no code Miss match...
Checked AppEnforce.log of the machine. Everything get executed as per the defined app parameters.
So what we should do now to get rid of "Past due - will be retried" for some machines from Software Center?
