Hi
I'm trying to create a global deployment for an enterprise organization of Office products from 2010 to 2013
all workstations are with Windows 7 x64
some of the workstations has Office 2010 x64 products and some Office 2010 x86 products
when I say products, I mean Visio, Project or Office ProPlus
we had enough of having two platforms so we decided we want all the workstations to be with Office 2010 (Visio, Project, ProPlus) to be x86 only
my problem starts when I try to organize the supersedence
I have all the old products and the new products as Applications with detection methods and I have all the new Applications set with the old ones as supersedence.
here's where my problem start
I cannot install any Office x86 product with x64 product installed. so for instance, if I have a workstation with Officex64 +Visio x64 I can't uninstall office only and then install Office 2013 x86 because of Visio and vice versa.
so I need to completely uninstall all of Office x64 products and only then I'm able to install Office x86 and remember who had what but it's to complex :/
I'm sure I'm not the only one who bumped into this scenario and I'm trying to figure out what's the best way to acheive this
thanks in advance
