I manage an SCCM site that our main location and then 4 distribution points. To give you a background real quick about what type of environment we're in, it's a school district with a ton of laptops. we're preparing for testing, and each laptop has to have a certain application on it.
In the past, I get the laptops in the classrooms and have the teachers notify me when they're on and I force a machine policy refresh using right click tools, and they all immediately go online and get the software.
Now, it's almost like it is hitting a brick wall and the majority of the clients say "Past due - will be retried", or it will eventually start downloading. The deployment is done right, with the correct detection method, because it has successfully installed to 60% of the large collection that requires this software (1500+ have installed correctly)
I just recently updated to the newest CU of SCCM 2012 R2, was I supposed to do something specifically to my distribution points? I'm hoping I missed something and that's all it is.
My distribution points are server 2012 hyper-v VMs and they seem to be pegged out CPU and Memory wise (both stay at around 80-90%, but look at the network utilization and it's barely moving. Makes no sense.
Is there anyone out there who could shed some light into what i'm having issues with here? I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!
