We currently have a situation where several clients are stuck in a reboot loop. An application was deployed to them with the setting "Configuration Manager client will force a mandatory device restart". The issue is that the MSI install does error so does not install, but it is showing in the AppEnforce.log file as having a return code of 0. Thus, the client believes it is a successful install and forces the reboot. Upon reboot the client attempts to finish the install, but the detection method doesn't show the app is installed. The MSI is then reinstalled, and of course with another return code of 0 the machine is rebooted. Since the client is attempting to finish the previously started install it does not check for policy, so the removal of this policy is not helping.
Is there a way to break the client from this loop other than uninstall\reinstall?
We definitely have an issue with the application, but we need to be able to stop this install from continuously running.
