I'm deploying Mozilla Firefox 45.0 x86 full version in our configmgr 2012 R2 environment.
I followed some of the guidance from http://www.scconfigmgr.com/2013/12/19/deploy-mozilla-firefox-with-configmgr-2012/
From Asset Intelligence, there are 15 versions of Mozilla Firefox detected in the environment before we make version 45.0 available for deployment.
The experience here is that when an application is deployed with too many supersedence relationships, the deployment is unreliable.
The default behaviour of Mozilla is that it upgrades any releases installed with the current version (whether the current version is newer or not).
I can go with creating packages and deploy without using detection methods.
My preference is to use an application, I can't think of a way to do this without many supersedence relationships.
Any thoughts?
