I have followed Prajwal Desai's procedure Deploying Office 2010 in my SCCM 2012 test environment with the following difference:
-Created an install and uninstall collection, install collection is tied to Deployment that requires Office 2010 install. Uninstall collection is tied to a Deployment that requires Office 2010 uninstall.
Office 2010 deploys successfully to my Windows 8.1 computer running the SCCM Client when added to the install collection.
Office 2010 does not uninstall when Windows 8.1 computer running the SCCM Client is removed from the install collection and added to the uninstall collection.
