Task Sequence Questions

If 1 step of the task sequence fails, and we did not have the option checked to continue on fail - will the client PCs in the assigned collection ever attempt to run the task sequence again if we have it set to required? We have since gone back and fixed a few small issues with the task sequence, but we're wondering if a system will ever check again to run that task sequence step it failed on?

Second question - We have our task sequence set up so that it installs / uninstalls 5 applications, then restarts the system, and finally writes a registry key after the PC gets back to logged-on state.  This would be perfect if we didn't have McAfee encryption on our PCs.  We need users to physically log in past the encryption, but not into the system, to get the PC to a logged-in state so that the final piece of the task sequence can finish.  If we push this overnight, and the maximum allowed run time of the task sequence expires, will the task sequence fail or does that number only refer to a client logged-in time?

Thanks!
