I am, quite admittedly, a Nube to the SCCM infrastructure and any and all advice or direction is immensely appreciated!!
I have SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 running and have created a small collection made up of Servers that I can test reboot at any time. I have tried to define a short "Business Hours" window and defined large "Maintenance Windows" to allow me some time to attempt to get the Updates deployed. I'm not entirely sure where my current problem exists, but I suspect that there is something misconfigured in my Software Update Group or Deployment Package. If I read this correctly, it appears that it is not detecting available or actionable updates. Logs from one of the clients look like:

It appears that I have removed the conflicts with Maintenance Windows etc. but gets to the point of assigning updates and does not find needed updates.
My initial attempt I have a collection with my Desktop and 5 Servers. In Monitoring under Deployments it always showed the PC as Compliant and the 5 Servers as "Unknown". Is there a reason that SCCM is not connecting with the Servers to poll SW & Update inventories and status? The SCCM Client has been deployed to my Desktop and the 5 Servers & all 6 show as Active under Client Status/Client Activity Tab. I am missing something in properly understanding the way that SCCM manages Updates compared with the much more user friendly interface of WSUS! When I go through Updates in Software Library/All Software updates I believe SCCM is not fully in communication with the 5 Servers. I have the Client deployed to my Desktop and 5 Servers. As I browse updates it will show 1 Compliant and 5 Unknown or 1 Not Required and 5 Unknown. It seems to fail to properly or fully communicate with the Servers. The same is true on the Software Update Groups tab. I have defined a couple and the Automatic Deployment Rule (I believe) has created a couple of new ones each time it runs. They all have the same results under the Statistics. 1 Compliant (my PC) and 5 Unknown (the 5 Servers).
Where have I gone off the Tracks? What else can I post here to help understand and see my installation?
