Deploy MSP & Detection Method via Application

Hello,

Does anybody have any reliable methods of deploying an MSP file via the Application Method and what detection methods you utilized for it?

I could never get it to work using 'msiexec /p "patch.msp" /qn'

And no, I do not want to use SCUP.
