Deployment Type Technologies MSI/Script difference

Hey,

I just need some clarification about the difference of the Deployment Types "Script Installer" and "Msi with manual inforamtion".

If i choose the Deployment Type technology "MSI" and "manual specify the deployment type information" i am able to enter a random command line and install any non msi application.

After comparsion of a Script and MSI Installer Type the Dialogues are the same and the only difference i see is the "Technology" entry in the deployment summary.

So is there any real difference between these two types? Maybe how they are transfered/installed on the client?
