After re-imaging a computer, it doesn't seem that all its assigned applications are installed in a timely manner. Since I'm re-deploying the computer, it's already in all the necessary collections, so I know it's not a matter of waiting for collections to update.
What I see in the logs is this: AppIntentEval sees maybe one app that is needed and kicks off the install. AppEnforce tells me the app installs. About 10 minutes after that AppIntentEval sees all the rest of the apps that need installing. However, I see nothing in AppEnforce. It will sit there until... well, I don't know exactly how long but at least 12 hours. At that point we have maintenance windows that end and the next chance the computer has is another 9 hours later. But even 12 hours is simply too long.
I need the computer to completely finish installing its apps within, say, 2 hours after its deployment. I know that I could add all necessary apps to the deployment task sequence, but to me one of the beauties of SCCM is that I can change app deployments without having to also go change my deployment task sequences every time.
I could perhaps change how often the CM client does software deployment evaluations to 2 hours, but I'd have to change that system-wide, and I've heard dire warnings about changing that value to be too frequent.
Any ideas?
