We deploy a set of standard applications to all machine in our environment, using required device deployments.
Occasionally we would like some users to be able to try a new version of something, using the catalog. For example, all machines are required to have Office 2010. If we deploy Office 2013 from the catalog to a user it will remove 2010 and install 2013 but then when an App Deployment Evaluation is run it will want to put Office 2010 back on.
I'd like to manage this in a way which means we can still deploy test/new versions via catalog but I can't really work out how this will work as the available deployment won't supercede the required deployment in our standard software set.
Ideas?
