I am struggling with something in SCCM 2012 (and had the same problem with 2007 to a lesser degree). I would like to have a quick way of accessing a summary of a computer. Our organization recently discontinued use of the Dell KACE appliance and it had the ability to quickly provide a comprehensive summary of a specific computer. The report showed all the details of the hardware and installed software. This report was invaluable when it came time to rebuild a computer and ensure nothing was missed during the rebuild process. Currently I end up going into the devices list and using Right-click tools I open an interactive command prompt and execute a number of WMIC queries to gather the detail quickly. This seems counter-intuitive and it isn't always a solution when the workstation is offline. It sure would be nice if it were possible to right click on a computer in the devices lists and generate a summarization report. Does anyone know of any easy way to do something like this or am I going to have to spend some serious time in SSRS and build the report I want and then figure out a way to add the reporting function to the right-click menus. I barely have time as it is so this isn't a great use of my time if someone else has come up with a better solution.
