Acrobat Pro DC Install Error 1925

$

I have created an installation application for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and it works fine for local Admins but when a regular non-admin user tries to install the application they get the 1925 error which states they do not have sufficient privileges to install the software.  I even tried deploying the application to the system vs. user and the result was the same.

Any help is appreciated.

SCCM + AMT and SHA-2

$

Hi There,

I've been following the MS SCCM  guides on getting certificates set up for DPs and AMT provisioning:

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/gg682023.aspx#BKMK_AMT2008_cm2012

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/gg712319.aspx

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg699362.aspx

Key in all of these documents is the requirement that I use the Windows Server 2003 compatible (V2) templates. (it is stated multiple times across all the guides). The trouble is this forces the creation of a certificate using SHA-1, which is now depreciated.

One of the documents says "we recommend you use SHA-2". So how do we do this while using v2 Templates, or do we no longer need to force v2 templates?

I post this in an SCCM forum as it is SCCM/AMT that will be consuming these certificates, the folk in Cert Services forum will have no idea what/why the requirements are as they are, and therefore will be unlikely to be able to provide a solution that will work in this specific case.

Many thanks

Nick

Can't delete or retire application because of a (Non-existent) dependent Task sequence

Hello.

I am trying to delete an outdated application from my SCCM environment.

However when i try to delete I get the warning that the application cannot be deleted because of 1 dependent task sequence.

I have been through every single task sequence and there is no reference to the application in any of them.

The application also no existing deployment types and and no deployments.

If I look in revision history for the app, it shows Revision 23 but I do not have the option to delete it.

How can I permanently delete this application from SCCM?

The Application deployment start time is setting the default and not the as soon as possible.

When deploying an application in SCCM 2012 even if I set the as soon as possible
setting and the scheduled setting is unchecked when I deploy the application it
always sets the start time for right after the default available time which was
not checked. It should be immediately. It always sets it for 4 hours ahead of
time. Is this a bug or a setting somewhere? This just started happening. This
does not happen with Software packages.<o:p></o:p>

Thanks,<o:p></o:p>

App model and uninstalls

Scenario

I have an application with 2 deployment types

we deploy the app as required and let the requirements select which DT to apply

So we know that uninstalls don't check the requirements of an application, but what I am seeing with the above scenario is the client, on uninstall, will download BOTH deployment types and then run BOTH deployment types (since requirements aren't checked)

not sure how that is a good thing, what if certain deployment types were not meant to run on that machines (different architecture)?

Does anyone know the reason behind the above behavior?

The Website encountered a problem trying to complete your most recent action.

Hello everyone,

We are experiencing a an issue with our application catalog. After Uninstall one of the latest Application published (font installation/uninstall) our Software Center is working fine but when trying to access the application catalog we receive the following error:

"The website encountered a problem trying to complete your most recent action. The problem could not be resolved automatically. If this problem persists, you can try reloading the web browser and viewing the Application Catalog. Otherwise, contact your helpdesk."

Microsoft advises to check the regional settings as if you change them it will break the link to the Application Catalog.

However this settings haven't been changed, and we can confirm are correct.

**Reinstalling the SCCM client does not help, the link remains broken.

Any idea why this could be happening?

Many thanks! :)

Javier.

Dear Experts,

While investigating an 'Application not install' issues, I found lot of computers having problems applying the application policies (mainly install). Re-installing/registering client will not help.

I Found lot of errors from datatrnasferServices.log stating:

Notes:

- Tracked 0x80190194 = Http error 404.

- Sever (name changed): 'cmN.domain.net' does not have distribution point role, newer did.

- DTS job GUID and BITS job GUID changes all the time

- ScopeID and DeploymentType are allways same. See later.

- Clients CAN communicate with Management point successfully, no other (fatal) errors.

- Clients are Windows 10 or Windows 7Sp1, ConfigMgr Client: 5.00.8239.1406.

From Site Server (WS2008R2, SCCM 2012 R2 sp1 CU3) hosting Management Point role, it did take a to find correct log file MP_getSdmPackage.log (from Management Point role log folder).

- System Status/Site status and Component status are all green, so what the heck....

- Reinstalled Management point role, (and rebooted servers twice), no help.

- From console, Site system server WMI class smss_deploymentType or Powershell I can't find any object having such deploymentType, or I don't know where to look for.

- From SQL database, there is lot of places where It could be listed, but sitll working on it to find it...

We are unsure for exact time when problem occured to narrow the problem. After returning back to work 3 weeks ago I was asked to look for 'application will not install' issue on the classroom.

Any help is appreciated.

 With regards,

Add Office Component after OSD

$

We have deployed Office 2016 Pro as a local install, but excluded Access as we didn't want users creating their own databases. This policy has now changed and some users are to be allowed it restricted by AppLocker. I can alter the OSD task sequence so that new builds receive the updated configuration, but my problem is with already deployed systems.

Is there a way to get SCCM to update Office 2016 / deploy Access 2016 apart from creating a new Office 2016 Package just containing Access, or is that the way to do it?

Software Center show application stuck at Installing

$

Greetings,

This has happened a few times now over the last couple of weeks. At first I thought it was just a once-off bug, but it keeps coming back and I can't see any patterns to identify the cause or trigger.

Sometimes when I start a Deployment from the Software Center the Status gets stuck at "Installing" and never moves beyond that. It has happened for OSD task sequences as well as Package/programs. In both cases the same Deployment works on other machines, or has worked on this same machine previously. It's not always the same programs, and there seems to be no particular pattern I can find to cause it.

Restarting the SMS Agent doesn't resolve, it just comes up as "Installing" again after the agent has restarted. I've tried clearing the adverts from the client and no difference, restarting the computer also makes no difference... it just comes back as "Installing"

If I remove the computer from the deployment, it dissapears from the Software Center, and when I add the deployment back again it re-appears in Software Center as "Installing" again.

Doing a client repair (ccmrepair) doesn't fix it. Doing a client re-install (with always re-install) doesn't fix it either. I have to completely remove the existing client and reinstall to clear the problem, but that makes the client then appear as a completely new device in CM12 so that's not a very reasonable resolution.

The only log entry I can find that seems to indicate an error is in execmgr.log where an entry saying "OnContentAvailable invalid request GUID handle" appears several times. I have no idea what it means. Running the same deployment on another computer works fine.

Clients are all Windows7 SP1 32bit.

0x800000032 during Install Application- Task Sequence

$

Hello!

I am trying to install windows 10 64-bit with task sequence but recently i have encountered some problems. All of the error codes i mention here appears at the step where Office 2013 32-bit should be installed.

I will also just mention that this image/task sequence worked fine up until this week.

At first i got the an 0x87D00269 error. I read on some forums and blog posts that i should try and add a restart step just before the failing application, so i did.

That step resultet in error code 0x800000032 wich i also have read comes from incompatibility. But now I'm stuck... As microsoft strongly recommend to use 32-bit version of Office on all platforms i doubt thats the problem unless theres been som changes this week.

Thanks in advance for all the replys! TechNet has been really helpful for me these past three years! :)

Hi All,

I am able to deploy Azure RMS Client to almost 12K systems. But for around 1000 systems I am getting the below error.

The software change returned error code 0x80050105

When I checked APPenforce.log in client system I can see the below error lines.
Process Exited with code 2147811589
Looking for exit code -2147155707
Unmatched exit code(2147811589) is considered an execution failure

however I couldn't find one single such incident reported so far in the internet!

The "net helpmsg 8005" will give me the below information.
"The file replication service terminated the request. The event log may have more
 information."

Can anyone help me in fixing this?

Thanks and Regards,
