I have an application ready to roll out to all users but I want to phase the rollout just in case of issues. I know the SCCM infrastructure all works as I have rolled out less important applications without issues. So in this case I want to target a department (by user rather than by device).
My plan was to set up automated user affinity in the client settings and then deploy to the user (with a condition of primary user in the application package). This would then stop the application being installed should the user log on elsewhere within the business. Are there any drawbacks with this approach, or have I missed something ?
