Hello there...
I'm looking for some insight regarding apparent slowness of our Applications to become available in Software Center in our environment.
What I would like to do is be able to track the process from the point of creating the Deployment to the end client actually receiving the policy saying it has a deployment available and populating Software Center with that application.
Our environment is SCCM 2012 R2 SP1
Primary Server with SQL, an MP, plus four Secondary Sites
The issue is I have been seeing some slowness for applications to become available to our end clients, especially those that report to our Secondary Sites. I'm guessing I have a bottleneck somewhere that is taking time for policy to work its way through,
but not sure exactly where to look.
As an example, I have created an Application Deployment, it is available, and I see it available to multiple machines. I added a new client to the collection that is targeted, verified it has populated, and have now waited 3~ hours and the application
is still not available, it is a status "Unknown" to that respective client. I have of course run machine policy and application evaluation policy, but still nothing new (it has some existing items in there already).
SO, I'm assuming the process looks something like....Primary Server creates deployment ---> Sends info to Secondary Site ---> Sends policy to client (at which point I should see appdiscovery.log update with the application)
So, looking for some insight as to what inboxes and/or logs I could follow to see the process that gets to the end client.
Thanks...
